Woodward Academy, in College Park, has an immediate opening for an assistant softball coach. Please see the attached. The position would begin in June with the start of summer workouts.



Woodward Academy, located in College Park GA., is seeking a Varsity Assistant
Softball Coach for the Fall 2023 season (August 1 - October 15, 2023). Ideal
candidates should have infield, outfield, and offensive coaching experience (not limited
to) along with the following qualifications:

Coaching Responsibilities:
● Attend all pre-season conditioning practices
● Provide coaching and guidance to student-athletes on strategies and rules of the sport
● Participate in regular practice sessions and both home and away games

Preferred Qualifications:
● Prior collegiate softball playing experience
● Coaching experience
● Knowledge of the skills and fundamentals of softball
● Ability to motivate and inspire players
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with tact and
diplomacy
● Ability to promote good sportsmanship and foster team unity
● Extensive familiarity with current US Softball rules and regulations
● Love of the game and commitment to our student-athletes

This position is available to non-Woodward employees in a Community Coaching capacity.
Salary range of $3500 - $4200 depending on experience.
